Jersey Girl Chocolate was founded in 2006 with a mission to create a gourmet chocolate sensation to capture the unique spirit of New Jersey.

The company journey began in Morris, Somerset, and Monmouth counties, and our outstanding chocolate has since made its way into hundreds of gourmet markets, liquor stores, pharmacies, gift shops, delis, and farm markets throughout New Jersey and beyond.

In 2024, Jersey Girl Chocolate proudly entered a new chapter under the ownership of Nicole Edelson. For the first time, a true “Jersey Girl” has taken the reins. Nicole, a born-and-raised native of the Garden State, purchased the company in August 2024, and she is brimming with fresh, innovative ideas that only a true Jersey Girl could dream up.

Our online presence continues to expand as does the many places you can purchase our products. And we now offer a one of a kind experiential event catering service as well.

Nicole is a proud, born-and-raised Jersey Girl with a deep passion for advocating for children with disabilities. A former educator, Nicole purchased Jersey Girl Chocolate in 2024 with a desire to be more present for her five children while pursuing her entrepreneurial dreams. Her goal is to grow this iconic NJ chocolate company, expanding it through retail and celebrations across the state.

Growing up on the Jersey Shore, Nicole’s love for the boardwalks, local shops, and beautiful beaches, as well as exploring the stunning farms and parks of New Jersey, made her the perfect owner of this beloved New Jersey brand. Outside of work, Nicole enjoys traveling with her family, cheering on her kids at their sports games, and spending quality time with her husband. She now resides in Somerset County, where she continues to grow her business and remains dedicated to her advocacy efforts.
